Remote Sites Protection

Autonomous security for unmanned and isolated locations.

The Challenge

Securing Locations With No One There

Remote sites, mining operations, research stations, archaeological sites, and other unmanned facilities, present unique security challenges. Limited personnel, vast distances from support, and harsh environmental conditions make traditional, wired security systems impractical.

Limited Personnel

Deploying and maintaining security staff at a remote site is expensive and often impractical.

Limited Infrastructure

Many remote sites have little to no existing power or communication infrastructure to build on.

Harsh Conditions

Extreme heat, cold, and exposure can damage equipment not built for the environment.

Need for Autonomy

Sites need continuous detection with minimal maintenance and no reliance on a constant human presence.

The Solution

Detection That Doesn't Need a Power Grid

MOSS deploys tactical, wireless sensors that run on batteries for years, forming a mesh network that keeps working even if individual nodes are damaged, delivering continuous detection without personnel or infrastructure on site.

Wireless sensor detecting movement at a remote site
1

Detection: Wireless Sensors

Battery-powered sensors placed around the site detect footsteps and vehicles, with no wiring or fixed power required.

2

Relay: Wireless Mesh Network

Detections are relayed wirelessly across the sensor mesh, so the network keeps functioning even if some nodes go down.

Alert sent to a remote security center or mobile device
3

Alert: Remote Notification

Verified detections are sent automatically to a remote security center or directly to a mobile device.

Why It Works

Built to Run Without You There

Minimal Infrastructure Needed

No trenching, no fixed power, and no communications backbone required — sensors run entirely on battery and relay detections wirelessly.

Wireless Mesh Network

Sensors communicate over a LoRa network with up to 1km of transmission range per node, so a single HUB can cover a wide, dispersed area.

Fully Autonomous Operation

Detects footsteps up to 18m/60ft and vehicle or digging activity up to 35m/115ft with 360° coverage, with no operator on site needed to run it.

Rapid Deployment

Sensors push into the ground in minutes, with no digging or civil works, so a site can go from unprotected to monitored in a single visit.

Years Between Maintenance

Non-rechargeable batteries are rated for up to 6 years, and the IP68/MIL-STD-810G housing operates from -40°C to 85°C without servicing.

Cost-Effective vs. Patrols

One deployment visit and years of unattended operation replace the ongoing cost of dispatching personnel to a site with no permanent presence.

See this deployed at scale: SensoGuard protected a multi-square-kilometer archaeological heritage site using six zones of up to 30 buried sensors each, paired with solar-powered, 4G-connected PTZ cameras.
